I am a proud African and Devout Christian born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe.  As the oldest in a family of 4, I developed and nurtured the responsibility of caring for others when I cared for my younger siblings at a fairly young age. This has proved valuable in my working life as I have mentored and managed individuals and encouraged self development.

I graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Majoring in Management with a Minor in Economics. Completed certifications for  Effective Leadership, Holder of a New York Life and Health License. Married to Dexter and blessed with 3 lively and active boys that keep me active, there is no dull moment in my home.

We relocated to the USA in 2003 in search of the American dream and a better life. We then moved to Rockland in 2010 after Dexter’s job relocated us to New York from Pittsburgh, PA and that’s how we discovered Rockland, this beautiful County that welcomed my family and me. We found that everyone is always willing and ready to help, be it a neighbor, a co-worker or stranger on the street, there is a camaraderie spirit here.

Humble beginnings and Career Development

I started off as a Bank Teller in 2004 and progressively worked my way up to be a Branch Manager, Vice President and Business Development Officer for People’s United Bank a Premier, Community based Regional Northeast Bank with over $60 billion in assets and 5,500 employees. People’s United Bank offers Retail Banking as well as Wealth Management Services. People’s United Bank was founded in 1842 and has over 400 retail locations in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. In my role I take away the ‘banking headache’ from my Commercial Customers and allow them to focus on their businesses. Offering and facilitating  lending, merchant services, investment solutions etc. It’s like getting private client services without the extra costs and qualification requirements.

Go Getter

My passion for self development led me to be the Founder of a Commercial Cleaning Company NYASHA Cleaning Services DBA A2Clean as well as a Real Estate Investment Company Exodus Property Investors LLC. The icing on the cake has been the RBWN which promotes female entrepreneurship in the County and beyond. Interacting with such powerful and talented businesswomen from all the different Industries and specialties. Learning from them and sharing ideas with them has been immeasurable for both my career and my ventures as an Entrepreneur.

Networking Tip

“What’s in in for others?” Make it all about the others. Find out what a good lead, customer or client is for them and and help them. When you help people they are usually more inclined to help you too!
