Sharon Martini is a lifelong advocate for community service, driven by a deep-rooted passion for giving back and fostering inclusivity. From a young age, Sharon has been committed to making a difference in the lives of others, embodying these values in every aspect of her life. Her love for community and family has not only shaped her personal journey but also inspired those around her, including her children, whom she has raised with the same dedication to creating positive change. Sharon is widely known for her warm, approachable nature that has allowed her to build strong relationships and a reputation as someone who truly cares.

For twelve years, Sharon served as a Girl Scout leader, guiding young girls in discovering their passions and empowering them to leave a lasting impact on the world. She also volunteered as a classroom parent for all three of her children and took on the role of youth leader at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she fostered a strong sense of belonging and service. Her work with the Nanuet and Beyond board, alongside her leadership role on the Rockland Business Women’s Network (RBWN) board, exemplifies her tireless dedication to strengthening her community. Her involvement in Leadership Rockland’s Class of 2017 further deepened her commitment to service and community transformation.

Sharon’s professional journey in operations spans both the home healthcare industry and corporate restaurant management. In 2013, she brought her expertise and passion for community service to Meals on Wheels Rockland, where she quickly became known for her ability to connect with people and her heartfelt commitment to the mission. As Director of Home Delivered Meals, Sharon led the day-to-day operations, overseeing volunteers, social work, and transportation services, all while building lasting relationships with the seniors and families she served.

In 2022, Sharon took on the role of Director of Development and Community Engagement at Meals on Wheels Rockland. Through her energy, compassion, and strong relationship-building skills, Sharon has been instrumental in engaging private and corporate donors, significantly increasing funding and expanding programs that directly benefit Rockland County seniors. Her efforts have helped forge lasting community and corporate partnerships that enhance essential services, including the Home Delivered Meals and Senior Activity Center programs. Her leadership and success have also led her to be invited as a speaker at Meals on Wheels America’s national convention, where she has shared the organization’s best practices and accomplishments.

Her passion for community service has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the PTA Lifetime Award, the George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award for family volunteerism, and the Greater Nanuet Chamber of Commerce’s Community Service Award. Sharon’s natural ability to connect with others, combined with her genuine dedication to service, has made her a highly respected and well-liked leader in every community she touches.
