LIFE-CHANGING

Dr. Kaplan knows firsthand that the visible change of a smile, wrought by wearing braces, can allow one’s inner personality to shine outwardly. A Rockland County native having grown up in New City and attended Clarkstown High School North, Dr. Kaplan has dedicated her professional life to enhancing the smiles and lives of others. Her own life was transformed through orthodontics. Dr. Kaplan enjoys talking, laughing, and sharing stories with her patients.

SCHOLASTIC

Dr. Kaplan graduated from Smith College, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Chemistry. At SUNY University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, she completed her DDS degree with a minor in pediatric dentistry, graduating Cum Laude with Thesis Honors, and received several distinctions for academic achievement. Her research on self-reporting of waking-state oral parafunctional behaviors was published in the Journal of Oral Facial Pain and Headache in 2016. Dr. Kaplan continued at SUNY University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for her orthodontics residency, where she was president of her class and earned a postgraduate Certificate of Advanced Study in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Orthodontics for her graduate research.

ENTHUSIAST AND ARTIST-SCIENTIST

During Dr. Kaplan’s free time, she enjoys trying new recipes, foods, and restaurants, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and traveling. Dr. Kaplan loves watching sporting events and musicals. Many of Dr. Kaplan’s accomplishments surround achievements in the fine arts and research. At home, she is a wife to her wonderful husband, Dr. Campbell, and mom to our two hilarious cats, Oscar and Pearl. Dr. Kaplan strives to have one new adventure each week to explore some place or something new, whether it is big or small!

PROFESSIONAL

Dr. Kaplan is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of several orthodontic associations, including the American Association of Orthodontics and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Kaplan’s goal is to give you the smile you have always wanted and deserve and have fun in the process. She looks forward to connecting with you and your loved ones in our office!
